Radio and television programming is mainly produced in the Serbian language (in one of two alphabets: Cyrillic and Latin alphabet. Since April 2013, RTRS stations are broadcast on Eutelsat 16A (Team:Sat platform).
RTV was initially known as Radio Novi Sad, established by the Assembly of Vojvodina's Chief Executive Committee (Government of Vojvodina). During the 1990s, RTV became part of the centralized Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) but maintained its multilingual programming. In 1999, NATO bombed the RTNS studios, leading to their relocation.
