"Move It" is a song written by Ian Samwell and recorded by Cliff Richard and the Drifters (the English band that would later become the Shadows). Originally intended as the B-side to "Schoolboy Crush", it was released as Richard's debut single on 29 August 1958 and became his first hit record, reaching number 2 on the UK Singles Chart .
"I Like to Move It" is a song by American solo project Reel 2 Real (Erick Morillo), featuring ragga vocals by Trinidad and Tobago rapper The Mad Stuntman (Mark Quashie). Released by Strictly Rhythm in October 1993 as the second single from the project's debut album, Move It!
The song would later be used in 2005 animated film Madagascar and was covered by comedian Sacha Baron Cohen (who voiced King Julien in the film) but produced by Morillo, making it a hit once again in 2005 with it becoming the film series' theme song. In all, The Mad Stuntman was featured on four of Reel 2 Real's top 10 dance hits.
