The SSC [1] exam is a national-level public examination. This exam marks the end of a student's secondary education. The exam is conducted by various education boards. These boards include the Dhaka Board, Chittagong Board, Rajshahi Board, Barisal Board and 3 others. Each board is responsible for different regions of the country.
The exams were introduced in 2009 by the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh. The PEC exam did not held for two years (2020 & 2022) due to the coronavirus pandemic. Later, the government announced that the test would be scrapped as a new curriculum was on the way.
652 students scored 80% mark called A+ (or GPA 5.0) in 2008 and 556 students achieved the same in 2009, placing the school in the top three in Bangladesh's GPA 5 based schools ranking.
