The Schempp-Hirth Arcus is a flapped Two Seater Class glider in production by Schempp-Hirth. It first flew 7 April 2009. It is offered in addition to the Duo Discus which is an unflapped 20 metre two-seater, whose fuselage it shares. The wings have flaperons integrated along the whole span. [2]
The company's first product was the Göppingen Gö 1 Wolf glider, conceived as a rival to the ubiquitous Grunau Baby, but real success came with the Göppingen Gö 3 Minimoa the same year. During World War II , the company built DFS Habicht training gliders, as well as tailplane assemblies for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 .

The Antares 18 is available as a pure glider (18S) or with a two stroke engine (18T). The company announced a 23-metre Open Class glider on 23 April 2011, called Antares 23E . This has been developed in a joint venture with Schempp-Hirth which simultaneously announced another 23m glider called the Schempp-Hirth Quintus .
The development of the Lo-170 was started in 1960. It was intended as a modern 17 m (55.8 ft) wingspan cross country sailplane for production by Schempp-Hirth. [1] [2] The forward fuselage was built from welded steel tube, surrounded by a fibreglass skin. The wing was built from plywood in a negative mold and then covered with fibreglass.
