Mount Leonard Kniaseff, or simply Leonard Kniaseff (or Leonard Kniazeff), is a stratovolcano between the municipalities of Mabini and Maco in the province of Davao de Oro, island of Mindanao, Philippines. It has a 2.03-kilometer (1.26 mi) diameter caldera lake called Lake Leonard.
Lake Leonard is a small freshwater crater lake in Mount Leonard (also known as Leonard Kniaseff), an andesitic-to-dacitic stratovolcano complex in the Leonard Mountain Range which is located 60 kilometres (37 mi) northeast of Davao City in the province of Davao de Oro in the Philippines.
Twenty-one of these have had historical eruptions. The three exceptions are Cabalian, which is a strongly fumarolic volcano; [further explanation needed] Leonard Kniaseff, which was active 1,800 years ago (C14), [2] and Isarog, which last erupted around 3500 BCE and 2374 BCE ± 87 based on radiocarbon dating [3] [4] [5]
The camp has five campsites, a dining hall, health lodge, chapel, maintenance building, trading post, field sports range, two cabins, a campfire ring, a camp master cabin and a home occupied by the full time camp Ranger and his family. Camp Soule is used for short-term camping, family camping, training, day camps and various other activities.
