Northampton Golf Club is a golf club and course in Harlestone, to the northwest of Northampton and immediately to the southeast of Althorp, in Northamptonshire, England. The club was established on 1 July 1893. [1] Three of the holes, the 16th to the 18th, are set around Harlestone Lake. [2]

The golf course was originally a private five-hole course built by Colonel James Fuller on the Willowbrook Farm Estate to entertain personal friends and executives visiting the Fuller Company in Catasauqua. In 1932, the golf course opened as a private nine-hole course leased to Dr. Calvin Miller from Mrs. Dorothy Fuller, the Colonel's widow.
A number of large modern houses are an integral part of the golf course. The course was designed by The Open and U.S. Open champion Johnny Miller . The area is close to other facilities in East Hunsbury and near to the A45 road (re-numbered from the A508 road in the early 21st century) and within a mile of M1 junction 15.
Bradlaugh Fields is a 60-hectare (150-acre) open space in Northampton. [1] The site is a former golf course. In 1987 it was proposed to build housing on the site, but after a campaign by local residents it was acquired by Northampton Borough Council and opened as a wildlife park in 1998.

The north course hosted the Kaiser International Open Invitational from 1968 through 1976 and the Anheuser-Busch Golf Classic from 1977 through 1980. Champions Tour events from 1989 to 2002 were held on the south course at Silverado under the titles of Transamerica, Transamerica Senior Golf Championship, and Napa Valley Championship.
The historic resources on the property include a garage, and greenskeeper's house, the golf course, the tennis courts, swimming pool, and original shelter, as well as a stone drinking fountain and a stone memorial marker. The property is operated as a public golf course by Warren County. [3]
