Northwest Harwinton is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Harwinton in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 3,158 at the 2020 census, [ 1 ] out of 5,484 in the entire town.
Roraback married Mary L. Parsons on April 29, 1896. The couple had twins in 1899, but one child died an infant; his son Lewis survived and on his death in the early 1980s donated 1,976 acres of land in Harwinton to the state of Connecticut, now the Roraback Wildlife Management Area.
Regional School District #10 serves the Connecticut towns of Burlington and Harwinton and was established in 1962. The four schools of the district, Lewis S. Mills High School, Har-Bur Middle School, Lake Garda School and Harwinton Consolidated School, have a total enrollment of more than 2100 students.

The Jason Skinner House is a historic house at 21 Wintergreen Circle in Harwinton, Connecticut. Built around 1845, it is a well-preserved local example of a vernacular Greek Revival farmhouse. [ 2 ] Originally located in a rural setting, it was disassembled and moved to its present location near the town offices in 1985.
