City. RDU, NC. May 6, 2022. #1. I've had the Suntour NCX seatpost on my Rover StepThrough for a few hundred miles now, and have been fidgeting with my riding position. Today I had an epiphany: The seat offset on the NCX seatpost is pretty extreme when compared to others - the seatclamp is at least 1.5" or more rearward vs the factory rigid post.

There are three solutions that make the suspension seat-post work: Cirrus Cycles Kinekt 2.1 uses a parallelogram system to extend/contract two springs under the saddle. The vertical body force is translated into the springs' damping action. Kinekt 2.1 is available in 27.2, 30.9, and 31.6 mm seat-tube size.
Already purchased the Cloud 9 seat, now looking for a suspension seatpost and poring over my options... I'm a tall guy 6'1", my pants are inseam 32 if that helps more lol. Other than Lectric brand seatpost (which is 500mm), I can't find any others that are 31.6mm and 500mm. Both the Suntour and Satori Animaris are 350mm and I'm concerned that ...

They are the tallest suspension seatpost option, so you need 4" of available height. If you can't measure very close to 4" between your seat post clamp and the rails on your seat in it's current setting ...

Certainly better than a fixed seat post! Both are set up to "sag" about 1/3 of their travel. I remember the first few rides on the Thudbuster giving the impression that my rear tire was low, as all the normal vibration was gone. Suntour is the same way. Noteworthy is that I'm an active 70, 6'2" and 315lbs.
2. Loosen the small set screw and tap out the upper hinge pin, which will allow you to remove the very-firm elastomer/torsion rubber piece. 3. Buy two Kinekt springs (for your weight, get two white "lower" springs) and stack them to replace the stiff Satori spring.

I had already purchased the Redshift stem when I found out about the new Kinekt stem. After feeling the benefit of the Redshift stem on my Pedego Avenue, I wanted to check out the Kinekt for my Wife's Avenue.
