I just search YouTube to WAV and use the first search result that pops up. I have one called Youtube-DLG. You can give it a YouTube link and it will convert it to mp3. My favorite part about it is that it also works with a link to a YouTube playlist, making it easy to convert a lot of videos at one time.

I think VLC media player has the ability to strip the audio from a video file. I'm sure it can convert WAV to FLAC, which I like because WAV files can't retain the metadata I want in my music library. J Downloader 2 can also selectively download the audio from YouTube videos
No not cracked, but i think its fl studio issue too. Whenever i try to drag the mp3 file into the main rack it plays nothing, doesnt even show the sound waves or anything. Its just an empty file in fl studio, but if i play the mp3 through regular windows player it works, but ive noticed wav files dont have this issue
I think you can get yt-dlp to do this by using parameters. --extract-audio --audio-format wav. But it would still be converting original audio (Opus/M4A) to WAV, so whether the sound quality will be better or not, I'm not sure. Reply reply. metalpyrate.
By default, youtube-dl and yt-dlp do this by passing the conversion work to ffmpeg, which is presumably installed on your system since this conversion worked. I'm not familiar with Videomass so it's possible that something different happened. Converting from another format to mp3 will always be lossy. That's the price you pay.
Alternately, you can set up a config file to always send your videos to a given directory, so you can run yt-dlp from anywhere. To do so, open the command line and type echo.-P "C:\ytdl">"C:\ytdl\yt-dlp.conf" and press ENTER. For more detail and other methods of downloading to a specific directory, see this comment.
Sort by: werid. • 2 yr. ago. it won't actually download wav, it'll download m4a or webm (opus codec) and then convert to wav, unless you're using a site that offers wav. most don't. soundcloud might be one of the few that sometimes offers wav. -f bestaudio --extract-audio --audio-format wav should be enough. if not, add --verbose and post the ...
