New iiRcade Guide (in Development) New iiRcade owner/customer here. I've started a guide for the iiRcade here to help new users get familiar with the machine. Since I'm new to the platform, I'm sure I've missed out on a bit of its history. I'm looking for input on additional content that should be added to the guide, please comment below with ...
And that’s that iircade is done. I would say this should not be a surprise. A console company that stopped making consoles was a huge red flag. Financially they seemed to never get their footing.. which was showing up in the licensing and inability to could secure big time games. I do have a gold cab and 60 games.
Maybe this is crazy but I think I almost prefer the artwork on the base model especially for a multicade. I will likely buy the wrestling game so that factors into my decision as well but I am ok waiting for a sale. The basic is what I consider a very solid price at $499 CDN. The premium models are $750.
Search the store for Irem. They have 18 classic arcade games in iiRcade that are all above average. I am only missing the 2 latest games, but I will be buying them. Besides Irem, favorites of mine skimming through my list are Donut Dodo, Congo Bongo, Elevator Action 1 and 2, Montezumas Revenge, Moon Patrol, Space Invaders, Sir Lovelot, and ...

iiRcade is not for the modding crowd. I mean you could void your warranty to swap out buttons or joysticks, but the system itself has no existing hacks, and I doubt it will. It is really a nice polished system for those who want it to work out of the box. If you want something for modding, you should look at the Arcade1UP or AtGames Ultimate ...
I recieved and installed my new GRS iircade control panel today. It is very nice quality and seems to be built to last. I own the Gold Cab so it doesn't really do much for me yet. The joysticks, buttons and gun support work. No games i've tried so far work with spinner or trackball. Which was expected with a Gold cabinet.
Sound issues - both machines feature fantastic sound the A1up machine tries to retrofit stereo on a remastered Daphne image - you mostly get sound from the right speaker with the occasional sound from the left. iiRcade features a totally re-mastered DL image, and is closer to stereo sound, but might not be actual arcade representative.
Future of iiRcade? Is it in trouble? Amazon has sold out of the OG model at a very low price and Walmart is out of stock. Limited Edition cabs of 100 and 500 have yet to sell out on iiRcade site despite being available for months. Releases of licensed retro games have slowed, and few licensees beyond the common “usual suspects” found on ...
