A new LCP for $298 and O.T.D. for $338 at Gallery of Guns, for Pick up at a local PA gun shop. If you look a good deal can be found.

2065 posts · Joined 2019. #9 ·Nov 20, 2023. The LCP is alright. Some other options in the same size are the S&W Bodyguard, Kel-tec P3AT, Taurus Spectrum. Or if you're going used a Taurus PT738, Beretta Pico or Remington RM380. When measured against that lot, the LCP is as good as any other. Maybe better.
I have the LCP 2cd generation, the LCPII and the Springfield 911 .380. Both LCPs are excellent pocket pistols and are easy to take down and clean. The LCP II has a better trigger and slightly better sights than the LCP, and the slide stays open after the last round is fired.
Not that simple. It actually would be a passable idea IF there was a useful laser available for that model pistol, which there isn't. The only useful such lasers are the 'Laserguard' style, from Crimson Trace. There IS an alternative, so long as you can accept the limitations: TR39GS for Ruger LCP Max-TR39GS. bevron44.
The original LCP has a longer heavier trigger pull compared to the Max. I'd say the LCP has more like a revolver like trigger pull. Me, I like that longer heavy trigger pull. Personal preference. I don't like pocket carry either. I can fit either in my pocket, but for draw I feel I can do better from a holster.

While these are all good options in an IWB holster or a fanny pack, none are pocket guns. At 9.5 ounces empty, The LCP will fit in a Sticky Holster in my pocket, even with the seven round magazines.
