Hanan Bulu Bulu (Arabic: حنان بلوبلو, born as Hanan Abdallah Abdelkarim, 4 May 1966, Omdurman, Sudan), is a modern Sudanese singer-songwriter and recording artist. In her music, she combines both songs by older Sudanese musicians as well as her own compositions.
Al Balabil (Arabic: البلابل, transl. The Nightingales) were a popular Sudanese vocal group of three sisters, mainly active from 1971 until 1988. Born in 1971, in Omdurman, Sudan, Rasha's singing in her native Sudanese Arabic combines the musical traditions of Sudan and South Sudan. In the arrangements of her songs, she has also embraced, among other musical styles, Afro-pop, flamenco or reggae. In 1991, she moved to Spain, and released her debut album, Sudaniyat, in 1997. [4]
