The Rockdale County School District (also referred to as Rockdale County Public Schools or RCPS for short) is a public school district in Rockdale County, Georgia, United States, based in Conyers. It serves the communities of Conyers and Lakeview Estates. The current superintendent is Dr. Terry Oatts, who has been in this position since 2018.
The magnet school occupies the building that was previously C.J. Hicks Elementary School (also located in Conyers); CJHE moved into a newly constructed elementary school building in 2009. [3] The Rockdale Magnet School accepts approximately 100 students annually. 90 freshmen were accepted in 2019.

In 2004 the football Seminoles played an undefeated season and went to the Georgia Dome, in their greatest playoff berth, but lost to Statesboro High School, leaving them in a 13-1 season. In 2005, they once again won the region championship, but lost in the 2nd round playoff to Marist High School , 35-14.

Conyers has approximately 1500 pupils, including 1300 in the lower school and 200 in the sixth form, with pupils studying for GCSE and GCE A-level examinations.
