According to the Star Wars Insider #67, p. 31, "Ben Burtt used the real-world language Haya, a Kenyan dialect for Nunb's Sullustan dialogue." In the Star Wars expanded universe, there is also the X-wing pilot Aril Nunb, a member of Rogue Squadron. Jae Juun is a freighter pilot, also from the Star Wars expanded universe.
