The Greenwood School District is a public school district located in Greenwood, Arkansas, United States. Established in 1881 by court order as Greenwood School District #25 , the district since the 2010–11 school year supports one high school , one junior high school, one middle school, and two elementary schools.

It is the largest school district in the state of South Carolina and the 44th largest in the US. As of the 2019–2020 school year, the district, led by Superintendent Dr. W Burke Royster, serves 76,964 students [2] from Greenville; and some parts of Laurens and Spartanburg counties.
In the 2019–2020 school year the student population was 93.8% White, 2.4% Asian, 2% Hispanic, and 1.7% Black. [2]) Construction on "12 classrooms, a library and office" began in 1970 on Lakeview Drive. The first headmaster was Woodrow Light, [23] who officiated on August 22, 1970, at the dedication of the school renamed Lakeview Academy.
