Boruto [a] is a Japanese manga series written by Ukyō Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto, and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto.It is a spin-off and a sequel to Kishimoto's Naruto and follows the exploits of Naruto Uzumaki's son Boruto Uzumaki and his ninja team.
Boruto tries creating a portal with his Karma, since Sasuke lost his Rinnegan, to no avail and Kawaki realizes that Boruto is hesitant due to his fear of Momoshiki appearing again. The old man then tells them, that the fancy place called Paradise, led by a woman named Mozu Shitakiri is capturing and selling rare animals. Boruto asks why the old man would be targeted by them, and the latter says he knows where the legendary hawks are, making him Maruta. Sasuke and Boruto enter Paradise under the guise of customers.
Through the combined effort of Naruto, Sasuke and Kawaki, Isshiki is finally defeated. Shortly afterwards, a Momoshiki-possessed Boruto attacks Sasuke off-guard, stabbing his left eye and destroying his Rinnegan. Kawaki and a barely-conscious Sasuke manage to fend off Momoshiki until Boruto recovers his consciousness.
Boruto and Sasuke end up staying in the Hidden Leaf under the watchful eyes of Naruto and Jiraiya. At first, Boruto feels uncomfortable being with Naruto, but gradually warms up to him. Kawaki and Sasuke struggle to fight back as Momoshiki reveals his plan to kidnap Kawaki and steal Isshiki's Ten Tails. However, Boruto manages to regain control when Kawaki forces Momoshiki to absorb chakra.
