Faujdarhat Cadet College is the first cadet college in Bangladesh, established in 1958 over an area of 185 acres (0.75 km 2) at Faujdarhat in the district of Chittagong. At present, there are 12 cadet colleges in Bangladesh, including three for girls. Four Cadet Colleges were established before 1971.
It was founded in 1937 as a girls' college by Khagendro Nath Chokroborti, who also served as its first principal. The college had an initial intake of only five female students. The college offers Honor's and Master's program and is governed under the authority of the National University of Bangladesh.
