In November 1989, the Penfold family sold Greyhound Coaches to Stateliner with the exception of the Brisbane - Gold Coast and Brisbane - Toowoomba services that were sold separately. [3] In 1992 Greyhound, Pioneer and Bus Australia merged with the combined operation rebranded Greyhound Pioneer Australia. [4] [5]
Bus Queensland was formed in April 2009 when the Pulitano Group purchased both the Garden City Sunbus and Kynoch Coaches operations. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] Kynoch Coaches was a family-owned business, previously owned by Jason Ward, operated urban, school and long-distance services from its base, in Stephen Street, Toowoomba.
His coach business was later merged into Greyhound Australia. In 1955, McCafferty was elected as an alderman to the Toowoomba City Council and within three years he was the 58th mayor of Toowoomba, an office he held for nine years until his defeat in 1967. During this time, he came to be regarded as a dynamic mayor who put Toowoomba on the map. [2]
The Skennars Brisbane depot moved several times over the years. From North Quay, operations moved to Upper Roma Street , then to Barry Parade in Fortitude Valley (with a workshop in Doggett Street), and finally to the Brisbane Transit Centre .

[citation needed] There are frequent inter-city bus services between Toowoomba and Brisbane, and other centres operated by Greyhound Australia and Murrays. [88]
Crisps Coaches is a bus and coach operator, based in Warwick. As well as local school services it operates services from Warwick to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Tenterfield and Moree. [1] [2] In 1992, the Brisbane to Moree and Toowoomba to Tenterfield services were purchased from Skennars. [3]
