Knipex are probably to majority of people, some of if not the best hand tools available, and menards has them cheaper then practically anywhere. Metabo HPT 36v stuff is contractor grade professional tools, bosch power tools, bosch power tool accessories, CMT Circular Saw Blades, Lenox reciprocating saw blades, Toughbuilt Pouches and Accessories ...
Menards is closer to me then Home Depot but outside of a Bosch ROS I’ve never bought any power tools for Menards. If you have a Home Depot I’d recommend ryobi over masterforce. I’ve never used anything on the masterforce line but ryobi is better known and has more tools then masterforce.
Masterforce is just rebranded other stuff for the most part. Screwdrivers are Pratt-Read, discontinued wrenching tools line was all Allen stuff, etc. I've always ignored their hammers and pliers because Menards already carries better brands for those. The power tools and accessories appear to be a plethora of different stuff.
Performax is a Menards exclusive brand, primarily meant for occasional use tools. They have a good warranty on the hand tools, but as far as the power tools go you get what you pay for. I'd strongly recommend either masterforce, Metabo(formerly Hitachi), or Bosch tools instead

Their power tools aren’t too bad (depending on model). Like, their router is an exact clone of the one that Skil sells (made by Chervon). They charge $180 regular price for a kit with the motor, two bases, an edge guide, dust shroud, and a hard case, but it’s Menards so you wait until an 11% sale and get it for $160.
Their hand tools, corded tools, and tool storage is worth at least spending time to compare with other brands. Their cordless selection has been lame for decades (especially when Porter Cable hit a years long standstill and left Menards as well as nearly all other stores not named Tractor Supply) and Masterforce isn't helping.
As an electrician I can say that their power tools come in handy in a pinch. A while ago our low gear drill kicked the bucket and Menards was the closest store around. We picked up a masterforce corded low gear drill and the thing is an absolute unit. I highly recommend it As with anything else they got I have no clue.
Apex makes the Masterforce tools for Menards. Quality varies. I've had good luck with their USA made screwdrivers and torx drivers. I also have a couple of their impact sockets. They are good but haven't seen hard use as I only bought them when I was working at another location and my normal tools weren't available.
