The COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia has had significant impacts on the country's healthcare system, economy, and daily life.
On 13 February, several health authorities including Medical Practitioners Coalition Association of Malaysia president Dr Raj Kumar Maharajah and Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad reported a downward trend in COVID-19 cases, hospitalisation and deaths in the 14 day period leading up to 10 February.
On 13 February, Director-General of Health Noor Hisham Abdullah confirmed that COVID-19 data would potentially be released on a weekly rather than daily basis from March 2023. [70] On 16 February, the Sabah state government confirmed that it would change the frequency of its COVID-19 statements from daily updates to weekly updates issued on Monday.

On 3 August 2023, the World Bank praised Malaysia's post-COVID-19 economic recovery performance. While COVID-19 reduced employment and household income, the World Bank's report found that the Government's financial support to companies, targeted payment deferrals, and workers' wage subsidies helped lessen the economic impact of the pandemic.
