Thiruvallam Sree Parasurama Swami Temple is one of the most ancient temples of South India. It is situated on the banks of Karamana River near Thiruvallam, Thiruvananthapuram. It is the only temple in Kerala that is dedicated to Lord Parasurama. [1] and counts among the 108 Abhimana Kshethrams of Vaishnavate tradition.
Parasurama is the sixth avatar of the god Vishnu; he was the youngest son of sage Jamadagni and Renuka. According to legend, after donating the land to Brahmins, one hundred and eight Shiva Lingam and Durga idols were installed in these 64 villages.

The temple is 750 meters south of the Ramapuram [1] vegetable market and 500 metres south of the Kavumbhagom [2] junction on the Thiruvalla–Ambalappuzha state highway (SH-12). It is 2.5 km from the Thiruvalla railway station and 2 km from the KSRTC bus stand. [ 3 ]
