Tsuen Wan West (Chinese: 荃灣西約) is situated at the west of Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong, along Castle Peak Road between Yau Kom Tau and Chai Wan Kok. There are mainly private residential estates, including Belvedere Garden, Bayview Garden, Greenview Court, the Panorama and Serenade Cove. The largest one is Belvedere Gardens.
Tsuen Wan Transport Complex was located at No. 98 Tai Ho Road, in South Tsuen Wan, near the shore. When it was completed in 1986, it was located next to the Tsuen Wan Town Hall (completed in 1980) and the Tsuen Wan Ferry Pier (demolished in 2000 and rebuilt further south following land reclamation) in an otherwise mostly undeveloped zone of Tsuen Wan New Town.
On 20 December 2003, Tsuen Wan West station opened to the public with the first phase of the KCR West Rail. [2] The campsite for the 2012 edition of Brighton Community Church YF Camp 'Deep and Wide' is located near this station and Tsuen Wan station on the Tsuen Wan line. As part of the Tsuen Wan New Town Comprehensive Development Plan, [5] Texaco Road was extended to the Tsuen Kam Interchange at 11:00 AM on March 31, 1981. [6] At the same time, to accommodate the MTR Tsuen Wan Line project, a section of Tsuen Kam Road, from its intersection with Castle Peak Road to the vicinity of Shek Wai Kok Estate, was closed to traffic at 11:00 AM on April 1, 1981.
