New Marlborough Village is a historic district encompassing the heart of the oldest village in New Marlborough, Massachusetts. It includes properties on Massachusetts Route 57, New Marlborough, Monterey and Southfield Roads. It was the town's civic heart through the late 19th century, and retains character from that period.
Before its incorporation as a town in 1866, Hudson was a neighborhood and unincorporated village of Marlborough, Massachusetts, and was known as Feltonville. From approximately 1850 until the last shoe factory burned down in 1968, [ 1 ] Hudson was a mill town specializing in the production of shoes and related products.
