Saint-Martin-Vésubie (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ maʁtɛ̃ vezybi]; Vivaro-Alpine: Sant Martin de Lantosca; Italian: San Martino Lantosca) is a commune of the Alpes-Maritimes department, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. Established on the edge of a glacial plate, it had a population of 1,327 in 2008.
The parish was established in the sixth century by Saint Martin, who was charged with preaching in the region by the bishop of Nantes. It is first mentioned in a bull of Pope Alexander III in 1179. Under the supervision of the monastery of Villenuve and convent of Couëts, 250 hectares were planted in vineyards.
