Đặng Nhật Minh (鄧日明, b. Huế, Vietnam, 1938) is one of Vietnam's foremost film directors. He began making documentary films around 1965 and is the first Vietnamese person to be awarded the Nikkei Asia Prize for Culture, in 1999. [1] His films have won several prizes at international film festivals.
The film was first shown in Ho Chi Minh City on 12 January 2021, with the Indian consul-general and members of the Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam in attendance, before being released nationwide in Vietnam on 15 January. [3] It was to be released in India and the United States at the same time, but the pandemic disrupted those plans.
