The only French phrases I've seen in American films are coup d'état and names of dishes like "crème brulée" and "flambé" and "hors d'œuvre". But when I read "The Time Traveler's Wife", I saw a LOT of French in it. But then the repertoire (<--- !!!) changes again when you look at Canada, where French is one of our official languages.
