Jefferson County, Arkansas is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas in the area known as the Arkansas Delta that extends west of the Mississippi River. Jefferson County consists of five cities, two towns, and 20 townships. It is bisected by the Arkansas River, which was critical to its development and long the chief transportation byway.
The trail at Joffre Lakes has been the site of maintenance and upgrades since 2013. [8] The first part of the trail, leading to the second lake, is a maintained dirt path. It has been supplemented with steps in some of the steeper areas to reduce the trail grade. This has had the effect of the park now being overused. [8]
White Oak Lake is near the Poison Springs Battleground State Park, a Civil War battlefield. Completed in 1961, the lake is 19 miles southeast of Prescott, and 15 miles northwest of Camden, off State Highways 387 and 24. It is the second largest lake created by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, [1] at 1,656 acres (670 ha).

Lake Frierson State Park is a 114-acre (46 ha) Arkansas state park on Crowley's Ridge in Greene County, eastern Arkansas. Containing a 335 acres (136 ha) reservoir built by the Soil Conservation Service, the park entered the system in 1975. [ 2 ]
