Sean Gilbert Peter Burns (1961 [1] – 16 March 2023) was a British civil servant. He served as Administrator of Tristan da Cunha on three occasions from 2010 to 2013, 2016 to 2020, and from 2022 until his death in 2023.

Sean Burns (born 6 October 1991, in Rutherglen) is a Scottish semi-professional footballer who plays for West of Scotland League Premier Division club Pollok as a left-back. Burns made over 200 Scottish League appearances for Queen's Park and was capped by Scotland at U19 level.
