In a series of press releases, the Great South League announced it would again expand in the 2011 season, to 30 teams in a seven state area. Likewise, the 2010 season will feature three divisions, each with 5-6 teams plus an "At Large" division. The North Division will consist of seven members joining from the Carolina-Virginia League.
SR 34 was established between October 1929 and June 1930, from the Alabama state line west-southwest of Franklin, east-northeast to Newnan. [3] [4] Between November 1946 and February 1948, it was extended east-northeast to SR 54, at its current eastern terminus.
SR 70 begins at an intersection with US 29/SR 14 in the northwestern part of Newnan in the central part of Coweta County. At this intersection, the roadway continues as Sprayberry Road. SR 70 travels to the west and immediately curves to the northwest. It leaves Newnan and intersects SR 34 Byp. (Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard).
East Newnan is located near the center of Coweta County at (33.349436, -84.777434 It is bordered to the north and west by the city of Newnan, the county seat. U.S. Route 29 passes through the western part of the CDP, and Interstate 85 forms the CDP's eastern edge, with the closest access being Exit 41 just to the south, where it crosses US 29.

U.S. Route 29 passes through the town, leading north 7 miles (11 km) to Newnan, the county seat, and southwest 6 miles (10 km) to Grantville. U.S. Route 27A leads north with US-29 to Newnan and south 5 miles (8 km) to Luthersville. According to the United States Census Bureau, Moreland has a total area of 0.93 square miles (2.4 km 2), all land. [7]
