Awards Daily (formerly known as Oscarwatch) is a website primarily focused on the film industry and the film awards seasons that was established in 1999 by American editor Sasha Stone. History [ edit ]
The website was later renamed [11] Awards Daily after Stone was sued in 2006 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for using Oscarwatch [12] as the site's name for eight years prior. [2] Since its founding, the website has received a Shorty Award nomination. [13] Additionally, Stone has appeared on NPR's Weekend Edition. [14]
