Tafton is an unincorporated community in Pike County, Pennsylvania, United States. The major routes in Tafton are PA 507 and PA 390. Tafton borders Lake Wallenpaupack to the west and Blooming Grove to the east. There is a lake that hugs PA 390 called Fairview Lake, [1] which is located in Tafton.

Fountain Lake in Fairview Township. In the late 18th century, Conrad Wickeiser was the first settler in modern-day Fairview Township. He was followed by James Wright, who built the first tavern and the first sawmill in 1820. Additional sawmills were constructed throughout the area. Logging was one of the chief industries in the area. [3]
