The following standardized tests are designed and/or administered by state education agencies and/or local school districts in order to measure academic achievement across multiple grade levels in elementary, middle and senior high school, as well as for high school graduation examinations to measure proficiency for high school graduation.
PARCC started in Ohio, New York, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Rhode Island during the 2014-2015 schoolyear. The PARCC is done electronically and it can be done on paper if the school requests. Since PARCC came to New Jersey in 2015, the NJ ASK and HSPA is being phased out in many schools across the state. The High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA, pronounced "hess-pah" (/ˈhɛspə/) or sometimes just "H-S-P-A") was a standardized test that was administered by the New Jersey Department of Education to all New Jersey public high school students in March of their junior year until 2014-2015 when it was replaced by the PARCC.
