The Four Horsemen were formed in the late 1980s by the Welsh-born guitarist Stephen Harris (a.k.a. Kid Chaos a.k.a. "Haggis"), who had been a member of Zodiac Mindwarp and a touring bassist for The Cult. [1] Haggis formed the band in Hollywood, California, when he decided to leave The Cult, switching from bass to rhythm guitar. [2]
The band continued as a four-piece without a keyboardist (though they later hired Andy Bown as an additional musician on keyboards from 1976). The four-man lineup's first release was the single "In My Chair" in late 1970, which reached number 21 in the UK, with the first album from this lineup, Dog of Two Head, following in 1971.

Hugo Hamilton Mark Burnham [1] (born 25 March 1956) [citation needed] is an English musician, and drummer for the rock group Gang of Four. The band formed in 1977 at the University of Leeds, where Burnham was studying English Literature.
