The Cave is a 2005 American monster film, directed by Bruce Hunt and distributed by Screen Gems. It was written by Michael Steinberg and Tegan West . Its story follows a group of cave-divers and scientists who become trapped while exploring a cave system in Romania , and encounter a pack of deadly creatures.
Emily and Harold jump in to explore the cave and find the alien typing in a code in a tablet to trap the kidnapped kids in a blue-laser jail cell. Harold lures the Jungspar towards him before shining light to put him out. Emily finds all the missing kids from the entire week and tries to put the code in, which doesn't work.
In the mine, the group searches for the emeralds, but is attacked by the beetles, which kill Carlo. The rest of the group fends the beetles off with their guns. However, a cave-in occurs, causing a crack to appear in the ground in the forest near Samantha and Emily. A number of beetles escape and begin to chase them back to the cabin.
