Fond du Lac County ⓘ is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.As of the 2020 census, the population was 104,154. [2] Its county seat is Fond du Lac. [3] The county was created in the Wisconsin Territory in 1836 and later organized in 1844. [4]
In 1847, "Daugherty & Woodruff" opened the first hotel in Rosendale, in the portion of the Town of Rosendale which is now Springvale. In 1848, upon Wisconsin becoming a state, he was elected a member of the first Fond du Lac County board of supervisors. [5] He later edited the newspaper the Oshkosh Democrat. [6] Daugherty died on March 3, 1856.
