Kazbek is a potentially active volcano, built up of trachyte and sheathed with lava, and has the shape of a double cone, whose base lies at an altitude of 1,770 meters (5,800 feet). [8] Kazbek is the highest of the volcanic cones of the Kazbegi volcanic group which also includes Mount Khabarjina (3,142 metres).

[1] [7] [8] The mountain runs in a northwest-southwest direction for about 10 miles, joining with Lookout Mountain on the southwestern end to form a V-shape.

Mount Khabarjina (Georgian: ქაბარჯინა) is a mountain and dormant volcano in the Caucasus of Georgia. It has an elevation of 3,142 metres. It is located near Mount Kazbek and is a part of its volcanic group. It is better known under the name Mount Kabardzhin.
This mud volcano is located on plane, south of Dali water reservoir, at 620 m above sea level in Dedoplistsqaro Municipality, Georgia and incorporated in Vashlovani Protected Areas. [1] Mud craters, along with small open vents are constantly active, erupting mud, oil and gas. [ 2 ]
