The Tabernacle [2] [3] is a mid-size concert hall located in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia.Opening in 1911 as a church, the building was converted into a music venue in 1996.It is owned and managed by concert promoter Live Nation Entertainment and has a capacity of 2,600 people.
Trax was featured briefly in the 1991 movie True Colors. [2] Trax originally was an industrial building adjacent to the CSX train tracks (thus the name). When it changed hands in the early mid-1990s, it was briefly known as Crossroads. [3] The building also housed a country and western nightclub called Max.
The name Live Trax is a reference to the former Trax Nightclub in Charlottesville, Virginia, where the band played over 120 shows during their early years from 1991-1996. Located in Buckhead, Atlanta, Tongue & Groove is the longest running nightclub and lounge in Atlanta.
