A4Tech Co., Ltd. is a Taiwanese computer hardware and electronics company headquartered in New Taipei, Taiwan. A4Tech was founded in 1987 by Robert Cheng. [2] The first activity of the company was the production of computer mice. In the future, the range of products was replenished with other types of computer peripherals.

A4 Tech is a computer [OEM] hardware maker and i've visited the A4 Tech's website, but there is little information on whre the company is based or where it was founded in. -Mardus 18:19, 29 June 2006 (UTC) I may have had a mouse by A4 Tech once. Apple engineers designed the A4 chip with an emphasis on being "extremely powerful yet extremely power efficient." [6] The A4 features a single-core ARM Cortex-A8 central processing unit (CPU) manufactured on Samsung's 45 nm fabrication process [7] using performance enhancements developed by chip designer Intrinsity (which was subsequently acquired by Apple) [8] in collaboration with Samsung.
