Clarence Eugene "Hank" Snow was born on May 9, 1914 in the small community of Brooklyn in Queens County, Nova Scotia [1] to George Snow (1886–1966) and Maude Marie Hatt (1889–1953). [ 7 ] [ 8 ] He was the fifth of six children, of whom the two eldest died in infancy.
