On June 30, 2011, Colorado State University Global was officially granted independent regional accreditation status by the Higher Learning Commission, the regional accrediting body for the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. [5] CSU Global is the first public university in Colorado to receive initial HLC accreditation since 1971. [6]
On April 6, 2015 Pingree Park was renamed Colorado State University Mountain Campus. This name change was brought about to better align the mountain campus with Colorado State University's other campus locations. Additionally, the name change was a conscious effort to separate the Mountain Campus and its land-grant mission from George Pingree.

Hallett Peak (Arapaho: Bonoh'ooonoteyoo') is a mountain summit in the northern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America.The 12,720-foot (3,877 m) peak is located in the Rocky Mountain National Park Wilderness, 10.1 miles (16.2 km) southwest by west (bearing 240°) of the Town of Estes Park, Colorado, United States, on the Continental Divide between Grand and Larimer counties.
