The South Zone cricket team is a first-class cricket team that represents southern India in the Duleep Trophy and Deodhar Trophy.It is a composite team of players from seven first-class Indian teams from southern India competing in the Ranji Trophy: Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Hyderabad, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

This is a list of all cricketers who have played first-class, list A or Twenty20 cricket for Karnataka cricket team (formerly called Mysore cricket team). [1] [2] Seasons given are first and last seasons; the player did not necessarily play in all the intervening seasons. Players in bold have played international cricket.
Karnataka has produced some of the best cricketers from the southern part of India. There was a time during the late 90s when 8 out of 11 players were from Karnataka and from 1996 to 2001 there were about 4–5 players from Karnataka State consistently representing the Indian team.
He played his last first-class match for Karnataka in February 2000, and appeared in a few matches for Goa in late 2003. [1] He announced his retirement from first-class cricket in 2006. [ 2 ] He finished his career with 41 first-class and 22 List A appearances, having scored over 1000 runs and effected 100-plus dismissals.
Goa lost all five matches in their first season, [1] and did not win until 1996–97, in their 56th match, when they defeated Karnataka by an innings. [2] Goa's best ever performance came in the 2013–14 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where they finished 3rd. They missed out on the finals due to Net Run Rate. Goa fell short by roughly two balls.
