Model United Nations, also known as Model UN (MUN), is an educational simulation of the United Nations to teach students about diplomacy, international relations, and global issues. During a MUN conference, students assume the roles of representatives of countries, organizations, or individuals to collaborate and address global challenges. [1] [2]
Cairo International Model United Nations (CIMUN) is a collegiate level model United Nations organisation that is based in Cairo, Egypt. [1] The CIMUN program is the oldest student activity on the American University in Cairo (AUC) campus and is currently recognised as one of the largest inter-collegiate model United Nations programs outside of North America. WorldMUN moves to a new city each year and is regarded as one of the most prestigious international MUN conferences today. [ citation needed ] The Conference was first held in 1992. [ 1 ] The Conference targets college students from all over the world who have a passion and interest to become a diplomat in the future.

MUN Delegation was created in 2010 under the name of "MUN Society" - a weekly reunion of Geneva students who wished to learn about MUN Procedure and simulate committees for one academic semester.
