  2. Quality of Fish at PetSmart and PetCo?

    www.fishlore.com/aquariumfishforum/threads/quality-of-fish...

My Petsmart is hit and miss and it depends wholeheartedly on the type of fish you're buying from them. Case in Point: I have 10 Columbian Tetra 's all bought from Petsmart. They are some of the healthiest fish I've ever seen and a couple of them are pushing three inches, far beyond the 2 to 2 1/2" max.

  3. Is this 125 gallon with stand at petsmart at good deal?

    www.fishlore.com/aquariumfishforum/threads/is-this-125...

    252. Dec 13, 2016. #5. I got their 60 gallon deal for $199. The stand IS cheap. It does the job, but I'd recommend taking care with water around it. My canister filter sits on a plastic tray, that has a 1 inch lip all around, so minimal spillage is caught. I also found the base to be 'unsteady' I braced it to wall (on a stud) to stabilize it.

  4. Just got two tortoises from PetSmart. Do they look good?

    tortoiseforum.org/threads/just-got-two-tortoises-from...

Chicago, Illinois, USA. First, PetSmart and other chains stores are there to sell and make money. They are not the ones to listen too. They are both males, should never be housed together or as a pair. They likely are adults, at least 5 years or probably more. The enclosures they sell is too small for adult Russians.

  5. [split] Does PetsMart sell wild caught or captive bred tortoises?

    tortoiseforum.org/threads/split-does-petsmart-sell-wild...

The original poster just wanted to know about the unusual coloring on the steppe tortoise they saw in Petsmart. However, it is a good, informative thread and worthy of continuing Petsmart doesn't take abandoned pets (I'm the head of the reptile And amphibian department there) also most of our reptiles are ALL captive bred we quit supplying wc ...

  6. Any reason to avoid Petsmart's Top Fin glass aquariums?

    www.fishlore.com/aquariumfishforum/threads/any-reason-to...

Messages. 3,531. Aug 9, 2022. #2. It does not say whether the glass is tempered. For an aquarium as large as 125 gallons, it either needs to be thick plate glass or thinner glass that has been tempered for strength. If the glass is tempered, do not try drilling it as it is likely to crack unless you have the proper knowledge and tools.

  7. Is buying fish from Petsmart a good idea or not?

    www.fishlore.com/aquariumfishforum/threads/is-buying-fish...

Personally, I buy from Petco because its my "LFS" (only a mile and a half from my house and a mile close to me than Petsmart, lol) and their prices are cheaper and their selection is better. Its all the same difference so long as you know what to look for in fish before buying them and you quarantine them. W.

  8. 1$ A Gallon Sale At Petsmart/petco? | General Discussion Forum

    www.fishlore.com/.../1-a-gallon-sale-at-petsmart-petco.255712

The dollar per gallon sale is only good on tanks from 10 to 75 gallon. Right now Petsmart is having very attractive prices on ensemble set ups. There was one under discussion last week 125 gallon plus stand, hood with lights (can't remember about the filter) for a little over $400.00. The best thing to do if you want new is poke around your ...

  9. Are Fish in Petco or Petsmart Good Quality

    www.fishlore.com/aquariumfishforum/threads/are-fish-in...

Individual store. In my small city, I surprisingly have 6 Petco, 4 Petsmart, and 5 LFS writhin 15-30 minutes from one another. I’ve been to all of them. The best is a Petsmart and Petco. The Worst is a Petsmart followed by a LFS. Then there is everything in between. LFS doesn’t mean the best.

  10. Petsmart Russian tortoise | Tortoise Forum

    tortoiseforum.org/threads/petsmart-russian-tortoise.169702

My experience working at a Petsmart: This is why I refuse to shop these box stores and prefer to adopt or buy from a reputable breeder. Up until a year ago I worked at a Petsmart for 3 years. There was very basic information available to employees about the care of the animals offered, especially the reptiles, and most of it was wrong.

  11. Selling Guppies To Local Pet Stores | Guppy Forum - FishLore...

Jan 5, 2017. #5. From others who sell it seems to be a $1 per fish pending on their size and health or instore credit. And. WombatCowboy at least guppies have a ton of babies and are easy to breed! But honestly that's not too bad. Or could sell them online too but that would involve shipping process.
