Stephen F. Austin High School is a high school in El Paso, Texas. Austin opened in 1930. It is part of the El Paso Independent School District. The school's mascot is a golden panther named "Henry." Austin High School is located in the heart of historic Central El Paso and serves the Central community.
Carsey was born in Ballinger, Texas and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1952. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1958. Upon graduation, he received a commission as a 2nd lieutenant in the United States Army Reserves. [1] He graduated from George Washington University with a doctorate in public administration in 1971.
