Turnitin is an originality checking and plagiarism prevention service that checks your writing for citation mistakes or inappropriate copying. When you submit your paper, Turnitin compares it to text in its massive database of student work, websites, books, articles, etc.
I submitted student work and Turnitin gave it a fairly low similarity score, but 100% AI score. The student told me that he had Grammarly edit his work. Unfortunately, he composed his work on Grammarly (at least, that is what he says), so there isn't any original document that was corrected by Grammarly.

The University and the Library do not endorse the free checkers linked above and cannot guarantee that their results will be accepted by your professor. APUS subscribes to Turnitin, which is integrated into the classroom Assignments tool.
My institution has just started using Turnitin and I have been creating trial rubrics for different assessment to assess functionality-I had no idea that each iteration could not be deleted which is somewhat ridiculous given that there is a "Delete this rubric" option present in the menu!
Please visit Interpreting the Similarity Report on the Turnitin Help site to learn more. Excessive similarity in student papers is often simply due to improper paraphrasing and/or excessive quoting. Both are easy to fix, once you know how.
I know that AI is a new frontier for turnitin and you are making changes on the fly, but any person who decided Jan 1 was a good time to make changes to an educational product, retroactively clawing back results already generated, needs to get more experience in education and schools.
Nicola Philpott I have passed all your comments on to our Product Manager. Your feedback regarding the links not being clickable is very helpful but this functionality would need to be weighed against how we develop other elements of the application (like highlights).
Please note that I am unable to provide a timeframe for when a fix will be implemented at this time, so I would recommend keeping an eye on the Turnitin release notes page as the resolution along with any other bug fixes and releases will be communicated there.
