As of January 1, 2022, all members of the USCG Auxiliary are authorized to wear either the existing untucked ODU or the new AWU. WHERE CAN THE AWU BE PURCHASED. The AWU is purchased at the Auxiliary Association Member Store through links to the uniform’s providers and will be available to all members of the AUXILIARY after Jan 1, 2022.

Auxiliarists are expected to wear uniforms intended for specific situations and missions, although some missions require no uniform at all. When wearing USCG uniforms, Auxiliarists are expected to wear the uniform correctly an in accordance with the USCG Auxiliary Manual (AUXMAN).
Buy the Auxiliary Working Uniform. The other option is buy uniforms in-person at a Coast Guard Exchange, or to visit the Coast Guard Academy where you can buy uniforms from the Clothing Locker. It's nice to be able to try them on, since the sizes tend to run a little bit small.

The AUXOP, or "Operational Auxiliarist" Program is an advanced training program available to members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary who wish to increase their practical relevance to Coast Guard missions, and better assist the Coast Guard to fulfill needed skill sets.
An uncoordinated uniform reflects poorly on the United States Coast Guard, the Reserve, the Auxiliary, and the military in its entirety. Pencils, pens, watch chains, pins, combs, smoking material, or jewelry (i.e. necklace/chains except for rings) are not to be worn or carried exposed on a uniform.
