From 2001 on, all medical students at Heidelberg University, University Hospital Heidelberg (as opposed to the Heidelberg University Faculty of Medicine in Mannheim) pursue a reformed, six-year-long course called "HeiCuMed" ("Heidelberger Curriculum Medicinale").
