If your pet has gained or lost weight, that could explain a cost increase. There were never any wounds, hot spots and ...

A dog teaches a boy fidelity, perseverance, and to turn around three times before lying down.”. – Josh Billings. Apoquel stops the itch factor from reaching a dog's brain, so in that sense it is better than Benadryl. Neither of those 2 drugs can cure allergies, but at least they offer some relief to most dogs.

Not OTC, but my Beckett has been on Apoquel for the past year & a half plus. He's always had some random seasonal-type allergy symptoms (never severe enough to medicate for) but in May of 2022 he started having other physical issues that our vet determined were related to allergies & put him on Apoquel.

And though there are cases where Apoquel sadly does NOT work (about 1 out of 30 dogs), it is an amazing drug so far in the fight against severe canine allergies. Not perfect, but pretty good so far. Now a new product is available with NO side effects and works very well for dogs that have allergies NOT related to food.
