In 2021, the institute began redevelopment to become a Catholic secondary school, Catherine McAuley College Mackay, which opened operations on 22 February 2022. As of 2024, the school has added four more buildings to the institute, which will be joined by two more buildings and a full cohort of students by 2027. [4]

Catherine McAuley College, formerly Catholic College Bendigo until 2018, is an Australian coeducational Catholic secondary school in Bendigo, Victoria.
