Great Wolf Lodge (Northern California) is a resort and indoor waterpark of 29 acres (12 ha) located in Manteca, California in the Central Valley. The resort is currently operated by Great Wolf Resorts and has been since it opened in 2021. [2] The resort is located near the San Francisco Bay Area.
Great Wolf Lodge began as a small indoor water park resort called Black Wolf Lodge which was founded in 1997 by brothers Jack and Andrew "Turk" Waterman, the original owners of Noah's Ark Water Park in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. [4] Black Wolf Lodge was purchased by The Great Lakes Companies Inc. in 1999.

The water park was attached to the Radisson Hotel. Both the hotel and the water park were managed by Evolution Hospitality. In January 2017, it was announced that Great Wolf Resorts had purchased the property. The hotel and waterpark closed for renovations and rebranding as a Great Wolf Resort. Great Wolf reopened the property in December 2017. [1]
